Little Nora started in 2018 when this 7 year old girl named Noortje, who lives in Cromwell on New Zealand’s South Island, started creating her own bracelets to sell in her mum’s shop. After expanding her collection by knitting beanies and making dog and speculaas cookies, she started looking into making beauty products. What started as a homeschooling Science project in 2022 turned into her passion once she figured out how many harsh chemicals are being used in store bought products. Now she loves making her own natural goodies and she is selling them at a local market, through friends and through this website. At the end of 2023 Noortje won an Award for Gifted Learners to boost setting up her own ‘business’. And creating this website is a very visible result that came out of that prize.
Noortje is a Dutch name which very literally means Little Noor / Nora.
